Small Groups Forming

“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42

Beginning in January our small groups will begin to meet. Just what is a "small group"? A small number of Christians, four to twelve, gathering together on a regular basis for fellowship, prayer and study. The groups are led by trained facilitators. The meetings are held at homes in various geographic areas in the St. George area.
Small group ministries have a proven track record for church growth. They serve as an excellent tool for welcoming and involving new member. They also provide spiritual growth and stronger fellowship. This model is one of the models employed by the Saddleback Church in California that is led by Pastor Rick Warren.
All are invited to consider joining a small group by signing up on the one of the sheets posted in the Fellowship Hall.

Contemporary Blended Worship Service
Beginning January 4, 2009
Volunteers Needed

On January 4, 2009 at 8:30 AM our first service will be a contemporary blended service. This service will blend traditional order and non-traditional music. A worship team has been meeting and preparing for this service. We are still in need of little things like making coffee and welcoming visitors. if you are interested we need you to volunteer. A signup sheet is posted in the Fellowship Hall. Please consider helping us launch this new worship service. Our traditional worship service will begin at a new time, 10:30 AM.

Welcome Valley Presbyterian Church

A special welcometo our newest neighbors in Mesquite, Nevada. This new church development is forming with the assistance and support of the Presbyteries of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Currently this congregation is meeting in the recreation center at Sun City in Mesquite. Worship begins at 10:30 AM Pacific time.
