In Matthew 19, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
Children are an important part of the life of every church and Good Shepherd is no different. Each Sunday, we provide a Sunday School for the children of the congregation and visitors. The Sunday School consists of nursery care for very young children and an elementary class. Both classes are held in the Christian Education Building. For those parents who are uncomfortable leaving their children in a different building, we provide a pager service where the Sunday School teachers can page the parents in case of any concerns.
During the elementary class, children are encouraged to explore our faith through song, crafts and games. They also have the opportunity to go to the Sanctuary for our Time With Children between the Pastoral Prayer and the Offering.
We encourage parents who wish to worship with us to bring their children along for an enjoyable Sunday School experience.
